Our projects - DESIGN, MANUFACTURE, INTEGRATION
Tailor-made technical solutions
Automation and Robotics
A systems integrator since 1993, LEMA Industries has built solid experience in automation. The company designs and develops automated fixtures and production cells for its clients. LEMA integrates LEAN principles, including poka-yoke error-proofing and cutting-edge technologies (communication systems, robotics, vision, AI).
Since 1993, LEMA Industries has been developing custom automated production systems. We support our clients in their transition to Industry 4.0 with comprehensive engineering and robotics integration services (design, studies, component selection, assembly, and commissioning).
Automated stations, special-purpose machines, and industrial robots are key to improving productivity and repeatability.
Tedious, repetitive, and quality-check tasks (poka-yoke) are handled by machines or robots to lighten and secure operators’ work.
Our robotic and automated cells are designed to integrate all constraints:
Part constraints (size, material, appearance, fragility, deformability, weight, temperature, etc.)
Environment and safety(enclosure, light curtains, lockout devices)
Ergonomics (adjustable height, lighting, HMI)
Supply flow and cadence
Reliability, maintainability, reparability, recyclability
Modularity and communication systems
Customer-standard components
Detection technologies (sensors, vision, AI)
Clamping systems and traceability tools (RFID readers, printers, labelers, marking, barcode scanners)
Tools, dispensers, storage bins, supports, etc.
Collaborative Robots (Cobots)
Cobots can be used without safety cages and assist operators with simple, flexible programming by demonstration.
Benefits :
- Boosted productivity and output
- Reduced physical strain
- Significantly improved repeatability, accuracy, and quality
- Modular and scalable solutions
- Real-time production data feedbac
- Fast ROI in high-volume production
Stations and Devices
LEMA Industries designs and builds workstations and devices equipped with mechanisms (hinged molds and jigs, formers, tilt units, grippers, sleds, rotary tables, tilt tables, mobile storage, logistics chains, etc.)
Scheduling consists of allocating and organizing available resources (materials, labor, machines, etc.) to optimize production. Factory flexibility and productivity depend largely on the chosen layout.
In a cellular layout, resources are grouped into autonomous production units specialized by product type using similar means.
Unlike linear production lines, where flow is strictly sequential, cellular organization allows for greater autonomy, efficiency, and agility—making it particularly well-suited to small and medium production runs.
Our workstations are designed to optimize both ergonomics (height adjustment, tilt tables, lighting, etc.) and efficiency (clamping systems, powered tools integration, labelers, dispensers, picking bins, storage shelves, display boards, power outlets, compressed air supply, etc.).
Benefits:
- Increased productivity and ergonomic comfort
- Reduced operator fatigue and strain
- Improved accuracy and quality
- Lower scrap rates
- Modular, flexible, and compact equipment
- Fast and simple deployment
- Rapid ROI for small and medium production runs
Jigs and fixtures
LEMA Industries designs and manufactures all types of supports and fixtures. The company employs a wide range of processes: woodworking, cabinetmaking, machining, molding, resin application, composite materials, lamination.
Supports and fixtures are partial or full negative forms of the parts. Their function is to hold and position parts during operations such as assembly, welding, cutting, trimming, drilling, inspection, etc.
Benefits:
- Improved efficiency to meet cycle time requirements
- Reduced fatigue and physical strain
- Enhanced precision and quality
- Decreased scrap rates
- Modular, flexible, and compact equipment
- Quick and easy desployment
- Fast ROI
The different types of fixtures and supports:
Continuous surface matching the shape of the part
• Machining lightweight materials (polymers, aluminum)
• Lamination of a composite shell directly on an existing part, with a surface coating (soft or hard) selected based on the fragility of the part
Ribs or sectional supports
• Machining from sheet materials (wood, polymers)
Point and pads supports
• Casting soft or hard resin pads in machined molds
Furniture and Safety
To complement tools and machines—or to meet specific needs—LEMA Industries designs and manufactures:
- custom-made furniture such as work tables, multifunctional workstations, carts, trolleys, mobile cabinets, racks, platforms, desks, etc.
- safety devices (boxes, protective enclosures, barriers, etc.).
Molds, Models, and Prototypes
As a modeling specialist, LEMA Industries produces all types of molds, models, and prototypes. The company masters various manufacturing processes: woodworking, machining, molding, resin application, composite materials, lamination.
Industrial Modeling
In the industrial field, “modeling” refers to the creation of molds, patterns, mock-ups, and prototypes.
The modeler works from technical drawings or by copying an existing part.
The models, generally made of wood, are used in foundries to create sand molds that will hold the molten metal.
Molds used in the thermoforming of plastics are made of labelite or metal (aluminum or steel).
Molds, masks, and tools for manufacturing composite parts are made from materials selected based on the number of reuses (steel, aluminum, resin, etc.).
A modeler-mechanic or mold mechanic builds full-scale mock-ups of parts to be produced. This profession requires mastery of wood, resin, and metal working.
Masks, Jigs, and Formers
LEMA Industries manufactures all types of masks and jigs. The company uses various production methods: woodworking, cabinetmaking, machining, molding, resin application, composite materials, lamination.
Masks and jigs match the shape of the part to ensure consistent positioning and repeatability for operations like cutting, drilling, marking, painting, inspection, etc.
Jigs used in metrology are made of metal to ensure high precision.
Formers are used to prevent parts from deforming. for example, during the cooling of rotomolded parts or when injecting filling resins.
Taylormade Tools
LEMA Industries designs and manufactures all types of custom tools to improve and ease operator tasks.
Resin Parts
LEMA Industries produces small-series parts using resin casting processes, including: polyurethane, epoxy, silicone …and more.
Hand Tools
LEMA Industries offers a complete range of manual tools designed to assist with the installation of fasteners, clipped nuts, seals, and films.
